Starting over can be kinda scary. But wait.....you don't even know what I am 'starting over'...do you??!!
Well I am starting my blog over.
I have been blogging, on and off, on Blogger since 2010. Wow....I just realized that I have been doing this for about 8 years! While I have truly loved using Blogger, I found that since Google had acquired it, it just wasn't getting the love and enhancements that other blogging platforms were getting. It was almost like Blogger was the lonely step child, kinda like Cinderella.....always scrubbing the floors, but never getting to go the ball and stuff. There was even a period that Comment Moderation wasn't working properly and it took GOOGLE...almost TWO MONTHS to fix!! What was that?? It really kind of put a bad taste in all of Bloggers users.
What finally made up my mind was a podcast episode. You see...I love podcasts and I listen regularly to about 4. My newest one is called Flourish and Thrive Academy and it is specifically for Jewelry Designers, such as myself. I learned that having your blog directly on your website helps with your Google rankings. Apparently, every time you post, Google reads this as you updating the content on your website...and well...I guess this is something that Google likes. So...here we are!
I will begin playing around with this over the next few days and hope to find this platform as user friendly as Blogger.
